Prior to her role as CEO of the Trust, Amanda was a Headteacher of three different schools over a period of 13 years. As a National Leader of Education, she has a wide experience of supporting schools in challenging situations and working in partnership with other leaders to improve outcomes
For 7 years she led an outstanding 800 place Academy and established a local Multi Academy Trust; in addition to her CEO role at the Academy, she was also Director of Initial Teacher Training. Throughout her career, she has led her schools through three separate outstanding judgments by Ofsted. Her teaching training centre was judged outstanding twice and was rated the third-best teacher training establishment nationally.
Amanda was selected by HMCI to sit on Sir Michael Wilshaw’s Ofsted Reference Group. She was a member of the group for three years and worked alongside HMI developing the new inspection framework. Amanda is a regular contributor to National roundtable discussion groups.
Her passion is for all children to have the best possible opportunities to succeed and to provide a strong partnership model for all School leaders to ensure they are supported within their roles.
In her spare time Amanda can be found at the stables with her horses, Finn and Buzz. She is married to Salvatore and has a 13-year-old3 daughter, who attends a Buckinghamshire School. She aims to write a book at some point but at the moment just can’t find the time to get it started!
