Carolyn Savage has worked for over 20 years in the field of education and training, she is married with two children and lives in Northamptonshire.
She currently leads the communications and events team for the National Apprenticeship Service who are focussed on increasing engagement in apprenticeships. This work involves communication and engagement with schools, students and parents and employers and other key stakeholders.
Over her working life she has worked extensively with schools, FE colleges, and training providers and employers across a range of both adult skills and 14 to 19 projects.
She is passionate about the benefits that apprenticeships can bring not only to the individual but also to the economy and the business benefits to employers.
The National Apprenticeship Service offers visits and presentations to schools through the Apprenticeship Skills and Knowledge ‘ASK’ project and also has an apprenticeship school’s resource portal containing videos and support materials for teachers called Amazing Apprenticeships.
