Greg is a leading teacher recruitment and retention expert, having spent most of his career working for the Department for Education and the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL).
Greg has recently been appointed as Director of South Yorkshire Futures at Sheffield Hallam University. Previously to this post, he worked as Deputy Director of Performance and Analysis at the National College for Teaching & Leadership.
He was also Deputy Diretor Funding and Allocations at the Teaching Agency, where he led a division responsible for funding and performance of Initial Teacher Training in England. As part of this position, Greg led the unit responsible for managing the Teacher Training market for England to ensure the adequate supply of teachers, with an annual budget of £400m. He worked with providers of Initial Teacher Training to ensure high quality teacher training is delivered across the sector.
Between Nov 2010 – May 2012 he worked as Deputy Director of the Arms Length Body Reform at the Department for Education. During this post he led a unit set up to manage the closure of Department for Education (DfE) Arms length Bodies and the creation of four executive agencies.
